If I see myself as anything other than free, I have a wrong perception of myself, and of the blood of Christ.
In my work with City Hearts, I am daily faced with the proposition of a risk-assessment. Everything we do regarding the clients must be risk assessed for their safety, as well as the safety of others.
In the world we risk assess for danger – evaluate all that could go wrong, and set up precautions to help it go right.
The Kingdom of God is much different. The opposite in fact.
In the Kingdom I am risk-assessing for promise, not problems. Instead of looking for what can go wrong, I look to see what has been done right. I see the Word of God, the Cross of Christ, hope, future, grace, freedom, revelation, joy, prosperity, and wholeness…just to name a few!
We don’t need to look for problems, they are always there, but risk assessing for promise will give us the perspective needed to face those inevitable problems.
Let Him today be for you what you need. God loves you. He hasn’t forgotten about you. He cares.
Is it easier for you to look at problems or promises?
For most of us, it would be problems! May I encourage all of us to search out His promises, because for every problem, there WILL BE a promise in the Word of God to meet and overcome it.
