There is a gap between our ears which must be minded at all times – our thinking!
A plethora of voices invade our space every moment of every day. Voices telling us what we should do or not do, listen to, wear, believe, follow, and become.
The choice is up to us; we tune out or in at our will.
What we repeatedly hear takes root in our thinking, becomes what we believe, and is then left as legacy by what we do.
I want to leave a legacy of FREEDOM wherever I go. But if I don’t believe I am free, how can I help others become so?
Though we’ve been released from captivity by the blood of Christ, the one area we must still take captive is our thought life (2 Cor 10:5).
Once we take that captive, freedom – and legacy – becomes a natural outworking of what we think.
“Finally , brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” – Philippians 4:8
Am I as passionate about freedom happening in my own mind as I am about freedom happening in the world around me?
